Shannon + Adam : Newlyweds

July 21, 2009

Shannon and Adam first decorated my blog with their engagement photos just last week. Check them out if you haven’t already.

Their wedding day was filled with tears, joy, rain and shine plus a little bit of dropping, clanging and crashing. Starting with the bride bottom’s up on the dance floor to lights crashing over the head table and finally me locking my keys in my trunk at the end of the night. It didn’t stop anybody from having a good time even though it was 3am before my car was safe in my driveway again.

Congrats Shannon and Adam. You guys are beautiful inside and out. I hope you are thoroughly enjoying your newlywed status!

The ‘something old’ was Adam’s great-grandmother’s handkerchief. It was so beautiful and perfect setting place for the rings. (thanks to Linda for the correction)

Later everyone felt like dancing so we visit George Street where the groom proceeded to drop his bride on the dance floor.

He was much more careful a little later when he guided his mom onto the dance floor of the reception.

Check back soon for another ‘couple’ that attempted to steal the show that day…rather successfully I night add 😉

Beautiful photos, I love the first one and the one of the couple on the rock…….either one of these could be ‘a piece of art for a wall’.
    Also, a beautiful looking couple.

Great story and great photos! Dropping my keys in the trunk is a nightmare I would not want to live.

I love the shot of her in his arms and again when he drops her 😉

Love the pictures of Adam & Shannon. Best looking bride and groom , I am a little bias being the step mom. One thing though, the hankercheif was Adam’s great-grandmothers. Just thought I’d let you know. You did a great job, captured them beautifully. The wedding was so much fun everyone had a blast.

    Hi Charla,

I have to agree with Linda , Shannon is the most beautiful bride that i have ever seen ( once again, may be bias as she is my one and only daughter) and she has made a great choice in Adam. Even though you had a great looking couple to work with the way that the pictures were taken is abosultely amazing…can’t wait to see the rest. You are an absolutely fabulous photographer!!!!! Shannon and Adam have not stopped talking about how great you were.

Shannon (my stepdaughter) and Adam are photogenic to start with. Add such a happy occasion — stir in a photographer with a great eye for setting and detail and colour, and who is not afraid to use full sunlight right in the lens in some shots — and the result is a group of really spectacular photos. You have a talent for finding the personal moment and the unguarded moment. Thanks!
