Peanuts Smeanuts.

August 5, 2008

There seems to always be news around here. And always sickness. For the past year my four year old has had weird, fast, terrible unexplained sicknesses. This past week may have been the culmination of it all when he broke out into giant hives, became severely dehydrated (didn’t pee for over 24 hours) and caused a lot of stress and sleepless nights. One night was in the emergency where they took a blood and peen sample but ‘found’ nothing. They told us to go home even though he couldn’t walk because of joint pain.
Today we went to an Allergist who used a machine called the ‘Bio Meridian’. It confirmed his already known dairy allergy. And it went on to tell us this reaction was to peanuts. So now we are a peanut free house. He’s better now. I took this photo of him today in almost complete good health. It’s awful to watch your child so sick and feel so helpless over it all. I’m just thankful that there are alternative types of medicine to seek out answers.

Poor baby, he looks so-o-o sick. Thank God he is recovering and will soon be back to his old self.

I’m so glad you got it figured out. I know several people who could actually die if they come into contact with peanuts. Scary stuff!
