Just wanted to announce that my photo has made it in the TOP 50 of the WEEK!!! Yippie!! Yes, I’m excited. Now I’m not suddenly rich so don’t be calling in for favors. I’ll need about a 1000 more of those. But it’s exciting to say the least…only 50 make it!

Savour Totally Greek!
1. Peter describes TG’s food to the VIP’s of the evening.
I went to the Savour Food and Wine show in St. John’s, NL at the Delta Hotel. It was a long day since I was there to set up for Totally Greek! and to take photos of the evening. I did manage to get a few rounds of the room in order to taste some food and wine. Though I have vested interest in Totally Greek! I really was wishing that I could be there with my husband to thoroughly enjoy an evening of the best food and wine in the city, the whole province really. I did try a few new restaurants like Bacalao. If you are in the St. John’s it’s my recommendation from the evening.
Here are some photos from the evening. I plan on elaborating about the evening when I’m not quite so tired.
3. Peter and Allan (Head Cook) begin cooking for guests.

3. The Media make their rounds as Peter and the food continue to impress.
4. A favorite of the evening. I loved to watch everybody be their best when the media reached their table. Be sure to click this one to get a larger view.

That’s the title for my entry into Battle Snap last night. The next question would be, Did I win? Answer would be a resounding ‘no‘. But I did get some votes and that made my night. There were some really great images there and it was fun to meet the people behind some of the photographs I’ve been admiring online. We also got to meet the very talented Chris Smith, creator of Battle Snap.
Congrats goes out to all three winners. A great find of the night for me was third place, Ruth Skinner. I highly recommend checking out Ruth’s images, especially her candid section. In her own words, “…a slew of candid photography from a year of work and travel abroad”.
Here is my entry titled ‘Caught Up’ from the Mainstay series (2003).
My photo was one of four to make into The Telegram, ‘Battle Breaks out at the Ship.’
