photographyI just purchased the 5D. It’s amazing. I knew it would be. Love it and don’t understand why I didn’t get one earlier (except that I wasn’t working, had two kids to raise and didn’t have time to think about new purchases) but that aside, seriously, you gotta get one 
The 5D paired with my two new lenses was an incredible experience today. I can’t wait to do a wedding with them this weekend. Here are a few photos I took around the house tonight as I experimented. I must add…these are STRAIGHT out of camera…no editing (even shot in black and white for experiments sake).
PHOTOGRAPHY TIP FOR YOU: When using a wide angle lens turn your lens hood around. I love this photo but the dark corners almost ruin it.
The Relaunch.
I have lots of exciting news in the next few weeks. As you may or may not know I have been on an extended maternity leave. This summer I have been gearing myself up for the relaunch of Charla.ca Photography (formally known as Charlamoss.com). Stay tuned for the official relaunch which will be coming late summer/early fall. Even to say the work ‘fall’ makes me shudder. I am in no way ready to say good bye to summer yet!
I’ve had a great few years devoting my time to my kids and family. I have of course been shooting all the while as you know from my blog. So though I am not officially up and running (also stay tuned for my new site to be launched in the next few weeks) I have already begun shooting, some may call it ‘working’! I am ready to start fulfilling your photographic needs.

Facebook…yup.
In anticipation of relaunching, Charla.ca Photography is now on Facebook! Facebook might be a big annoyance to some people but I think it’s a great communication tool. I am able to keep up with so many people in all aspects of my life with such little effort through Facebook.
I will still be updating my blog as much as usual (and will be back to once a day after summer). So check it out and if you are so inclined I would love you as a member!
